ELECTION DAY

This year’s Election Day is on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. On Election Day, go to your precinct’s assigned polling place between 6:30 am and 7:30 pm. As long as you’re in line by 7:30 pm, you will be able to cast your ballot. If you go to the wrong polling place in Kinston and don’t have time to go to the correct poll, ask to use a provisional ballot. As long as you are properly registered, it will count.

ABSENTEE BY MAIL

Any person registered to vote can request an Absentee Ballot and vote by mail. To vote by mail, first, request an Absentee Ballot by October 26, 2021. This request must be submitted and received by the Board of Elections seven (7) days before Election Day. You must then fill out and vote using the ballot mailed to you, and sign it in front of two witnesses or a Notary Public. Your ballot must be returned to the Board of Elections by 5:00PM on Election Day, November 2, 2021.
